Parrots Awarded AWB 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year
Everyone at Team Parrots is thrilled to announce that we’ve been named the 2021 Entrepreneur of the Year by the Association of Washington Business! Each year the Entrepreneur of the Year Award is given to a Washington state entrepreneur whose business is less than 5 years old and has had a profound impact on the industry. We were thrilled to be nominated and are incredibly proud to have been chosen as the winner! We were nominated alongside two other phenomenal Washington businesses - Bunker Labs and BlueDot Photonics - both of whom are doing important work here in our shared home state. It was an honor to be nominated alongside them and we’re deeply impressed with the work they’re both doing.
On the evening of November 18, 2021, the AWB hosted the 2021 Evening of Excellence award dinner, where our founder, David Hojah, accepted the award. In his acceptance speech, David referenced the classic saying, “If you do what you love, then you will never work a day in your life.”
Although it’s always a challenge to start your own business and every new business inevitably faces difficulties along the way, David went on to say, “These are the words that keep me going, in living my dream and building my own company. We are all great beings, who can do wonderful things, if we love what we do and we do it with love, with passion, and with compassion.”
David went on to thank - and we want to reiterate that gratitude here - to all of our families, users, advisors, mentors, early-stage investors, and friends who have helped us along the way. Of course, we also want to express a big thank you especially to everyone at the Association of Washington Business for honoring our work to support, uplift, and enable those with neurological conditions! We are sincerely grateful for your recognition and support. Thank you!
